Blue Ridge Bible Conference Family Camp 2021 Registration Open!

Greetings in the wondrous blessings of Christ, Registration is now open for Blue Ridge Bible Conference - Family Camp 2021 - June 14–18:

It is with faith and prayer that we take this step, as we do with each new day, looking to the providence of our great God to direct our paths (Prov. 3:5-6).

We do this with a mind toward current events, waiting for the California authorities to give PineCrest Christian Conference Center a green-light to re-open. PineCrest is optimistic that they will be open in June. Therefore, we are moving forward with our plans, and have opened Family Camp 2021 Registration.

For the time being, we are taking registration without deposit or payments to preclude the potential necessity to make refunds if PineCrest is unable to reopen.

We do need everyone planning on attending to register in a timely manner to help us with our camp planning and avoid a last-minute rush once PineCrest has been approved to reopen.

Please continue to keep our brothers and sisters at PineCrest in your prayers, knowing the financial burden this pandemic has caused them and the other organizations that frequent the conference center. Also keep Family Camp organizers and volunteers in your prayers during these unusual circumstances.

What a blessing it will be to greet and meet with our beloved friends and families in Christ once again at PineCrest Christian Conference Center. Indeed, if the Lord wills, this will be a rich time for praise, worship, and sharing the blessings of our Lord and Savior. Coming together for mutual comforts and encouragements is indeed a blessed prospect. In all this, may our Lord and Savior be truly glorified!

In the name of Him who rules over all in Heaven and Earth unto His glory, Joe LoGiudice, BRBC Camp Coordinator

Second Stated Meeting 2021

The Second Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Southern California will take place at El Camino OPC in Goleta, California on May 7-8, 2021. Presbyters will receive the official Call to Meeting with further information regarding the details of our gathering at least 4 weeks before the meeting.

First Stated Meeting 2021 Change of Venue

Due to the increase of cases of Covid-19 and hospitalizations in Southern California, the First Stated Meeting of 2021 of the Presbytery of Southern California, Arizona, and Hawaii, will now be meeting outdoors at Westminster OPC, in Westminster, CA. Our thanks to the congregation of Pilgrim OPC in Lakeside, CA who were scheduled to serve as hosts but will now look forward to hosting us for the first meeting of 2022. Thank you to the folks of Westminster for opening up their outdoor space to us to make a safe February meeting possible.

Ministers & Wives Gathering 2021 Postponed

The Annual Ministers and Wives Gathering of the Presbytery of Southern California originally scheduled for January 19, 2021 to be held in Fallbrook, CA, has been postponed until a future date. Due to the increased number of Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations in Southern California, it was thought best to re-schedule the gathering for a time later in the year.

Important Notice from the Youth Committee of Presbytery!

Churches of the Presbytery of Southern California, After prayer and deliberation, the Youth Committee has decided to cancel our youth winter camps (both Junior High and High School / Collegian) originally scheduled for February of 2021. Our reasons for cancellation included concerns about safety as well as uncertainty regarding whether or not we will even be permitted to meet. In appreciation for all they have done for us these last 30 years, and knowing the campground has struggled financially due to the present situation, we have also determined to donate our previously-sent camp deposits to Idyllwild Pines Campground.

We earnestly hope (and expect) to return to Idyllwild for our normal Winter Camp weeks in February of 2022.

In the service of our savior,

Robb Leatherwood, Camp Registrar, on behalf of the Youth Committee of the Presbytery of Southern California, OPC
